British Nannies is looking for experienced childcare professionals to join our busy team all across the UK.

Qualifications and experience

To work with British Nannies, you’ll need to have:

an Enhanced DBS (or equivalent) which is either on the Update Service or less than 12 months old.
a valid Paediatric First Aid certificate which includes training in CPR and anaphylaxis is also essential. Just in case.
at least two years’ experience in a childcare setting with a nominated contact we can speak with to obtain formal references.

By the way, a formal qualification in childcare, teaching or nursing is not essential for all of our roles but is definitely an added bonus

Benefits

Hourly rate between £13.45 - £16.80 based on experience and qualifications

Alex was great – our daughter has excitedly told us about how they played and got ready for bed. We appreciated the great communication and would definitely request her again.

Sara was very friendly. A natural with the kids. She did science activities and cooking with the children. She tidied up after the kids’ activities and toy playing.
She was wonderful and would recommend her.

Zainab demonstrated great experience and poise coming in to look after our young daughter for the first time. She did a tremendous job of weathering our young baby’s initial emotions and getting her comfortable with having look after her. Her efforts were greatly appreciated.

In short, Elena was magnificent. She was:
– extremely skilled in working with our infant (from feeding to comforting to playing);
– enthusiastic throughout her time with the infant;
– kept to our schedule for our infant.
We could not be happier with her service and would strongly recommend her to anyone.

Nadia was really hands on with the wee one. Kept him active, busy and happy. She also ensured he enjoyed his sandwich, fruits and yoghurts. She made him feel comfortable and settled around her which is a big plus for me as he hardly does that to someone, he is only meeting. I would recommend her services again.

Maddi was an absolutely lovely carer. She was on time, polite, very experienced and kept in contact to let us know how everything was going throughout the time she spent looking after our children. This was the first time we used the service for a longer period of time and she made us feel very comfortable.

Maryam was amazing! Even accommodated a playdate, as well as taking my son to a birthday party. My son loved her from the moment she walked in, as she was so friendly and broke the ice immediately.

Ivana is professional, kind and reliable. She is like family to us, as she takes care of our son like he was her own. She displays a high level of confidence and experience working with children of all ages, and we are extremely satisfied with her help!

Julia was really friendly and personable. She clearly enjoyed playing with the baby and he warmed up to her right away and then played really well with her. She was really careful and courteous, and made sure she was putting baby’s safety at the forefront at all times. She was patient, kind and professional, and listened to my requests for what to focus on with the baby and how he liked to be fed etc. We’d absolutely have her back again.

Aydin is an excellent nanny. She is exceptionally patient, and kind and I feel very comfortable leaving my child with her. She always sends me texts to keep me updated as to where they are and when they will be back. I cannot recommend her highly enough.
