12th January 2018 British Nannies News #2 – Making the intro call

When you receive your booking confirmation, the first thing to do is make the intro call to the parents. This is a good opportunity to make a great first impression, and also to double-check the details of the booking.

Can’t get through to the family? Leave a voicemail, but do let us know in case we have an alternative number on file.

19th January 2018 British Nannies News #3 – When something goes wrong

If anything at all occurs during your booking which you need to speak with somebody about, please call our office straight away on 02380 011213. Whether you’re running late, you need advice about something you’ve been asked to do, or there’s been an upset or accident, we’re here to help.

You can reach us any time between 06:00 and 23:00 seven days a week, and even outside of those hours in an emergency.

26th January 2018 British Nannies News #4 – Great feedback = more bookings!

Our emergency childcare bookings are offered to all Nannies in the local area on a first come / first served basis … except where the family has requested a particular Nanny, when that person will be contacted first.

So receiving positive feedback from a family really does mean more bookings for you, especially during quieter periods.

Families particularly request Nannies who are punctual, reliable, and interact really well with their child. Want more top tips for great feedback? Get in touch, we’ll be happy to share!

2nd February 2018 British Nannies News #5 – Updated Information Manual for 2018 available from next week

With every emergency booking confirmation you are sent, you also receive a copy of the latest British Nannies Information Manual.
The Information Manual has now been updated for 2018, so from Monday 5th February you’ll receive the new version. Please do take a look!

Any questions, just get in touch with the British Nannies team at hello@british-nannies.co.uk or on 02380 011213.

9th February 2018 British Nannies News #6 – Timesheets

Please do remember to take a timesheet with you to every booking and to complete it accurately. You should then email a photo of your timesheet to us at info@british-nannies.co.uk. This really helps us to process payroll quickly and pay you as early as possible on a Friday!

If you’ve run out of timesheets and don’t have easy access to a printer: just let us know – we can pop some in the post for you.

If you do forget to take a timesheet with you to a booking: please write the details of the booking onto a piece of paper and ask the parents to sign this instead.

2nd March 2018 British Nannies News #9 – Thank you for your support during this wintery weather!

Snow, wind and ice conditions have been prevalent across all of the UK this week, and that has meant that travelling to and from bookings has often been unpleasant and uncomfortable. We would like to take the opportunity to say an extra big thank you for being available this week, and for continuing to support the families who have needed to utilise our emergency childcare service.
